Rules & FAQ
Everything that governs entries, voting and winners. Questions we haven’t answered here go to awards@multifamilycreatorawards.com.
Two groups. On-site creators: leasing consultants, leasing managers, community managers and maintenance teams at a multifamily community in the United States. And marketing creators: corporate or on-site marketers who make content for and with site teams. If you are a marketer entering a video you made with a site team, name that team in your entry — the work belongs to them too.
The contest opens 6 October 2026. Entries and public voting run together from that day and both close Friday 6 November 2026 at 11:59pm ET. Winners are selected and contacted the week of 9 November, and announced publicly the week of 16 November. Because entries and voting overlap, a video that goes up early gets more days on the board.
Anything you made for the property between 1 January and 6 November 2026. Upload an MP4 or MOV up to 500 MB and 3 minutes, or paste a public link from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook. If you link it, keep the post public through the end of November 2026 or the entry may be removed.
No. One video, one category. If our team thinks an entry clearly belongs in a different category, we may re-file it and email you. You can submit multiple different videos, in the same category or across categories.
No. Every submission goes to a moderation queue first. We check eligibility, rights and content rules, usually within two business days, then publish it and email you a shareable link.
One tap, no account. You may cast one vote per entry, per day, for as many entries as you like. Votes are tied to your device and we run duplicate and automated-vote protection. Fraudulent votes are removed and repeat abuse disqualifies the entry.
Rankings are public, raw totals are not. It keeps the focus on the work rather than on the scoreboard, and it makes vote manipulation less rewarding. Final totals are published with the winners.
Winners are determined by public vote within each category. Before the announcement, organizers review the results for fraud and eligibility only. We do not override the vote for taste.
Every category winner receives $500 in cash, paid directly to the person who submitted the video, plus a shot at joining Tony in studio for his podcast and an MCA swag bag carrying the sponsor logos. Select winners also receive prizes from our partners: Meta glasses from Realync, VIP registration to the MME Conference from Kurie (travel not included), a personalized digital marketing strategy from Resi, and a comped NAA registration from Apartments.com.
You do. By entering, you grant Sousa Creative and Resi a non-exclusive license to display, promote and archive the entry in connection with the award. We will never sell it or license it to a third party.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything in the video, including music, any person who appears, and permission from the property or management company. Entries that raise a rights issue are removed.
No. The performance field is optional and it does not affect voting. It exists because the results behind this work deserve to be visible, and it may inform a future results-based award.
Email awards@multifamilycreatorawards.com with the entry link. We review every report and can hide or disqualify an entry at our discretion.
